Samuel Shepard Rogers III – Biografija

Američki je dramatičar, glumac, televizijski i filmski režiser, rođen 5. novembra 1943. Fort Sheridan, Illinois, SAD, a umro 27. juli 2017. godine Midway, Kentucky, SAD. Poznat je kao autor nekoliko kratkih priča, eseja, memoara te kao dobitnik Pulitzerove nagrade za dramu kojom je 1979. ovjenčan za tekst Buried Child. Široj publici je najpoznatiji po tumačenju pilota Chucka Yeagera u filmu The Right Stuff.

Privatni život
U braku je bio sa O-Lan Johnson Jones sa kojim ima jedno dijete. Nakon rastave se više nikada nije ženio ali je živio u izvanbračnoj zajednici sa Jessica Lange sa kojom nije ima dijece.
